But I'm lazy, so give me a good strong push and chances are I'll get back to work
Meanwhile, I feel like introducing you all to the biggest shapers of my concept of the Technological Influence, so get ready for some DESTRUCTION >8D
(1) Battletech [link]
One of the most well known hi-tech universes, likely next to things that have movies of themselves, but yeah, Battletech, and PARTICULARLY the Mechwarrior series have shaped much of my thought on armored combat ^^ I mean, waliking around in an armed and armored fusion reactor is just CRAZY, right? Not when you can dish out THIS level of punishment!
Edit: and this too cause it's just so awesome and I love the music ( [link] )
(2) Total Annihilation [link]
The ULTIMATE RTS in my opinion, only a few small tweaks on gameplay would make it GOOD ENOUGH in my book. And few things are EVER GOOD ENOUGH in my book. I mean...even nowadays, how many games have aircraft that actually make STRAFING AND BOMBING RUNS? Not StarCraft, that's for sure
(3) Heavy Gear [link]
Not as HI-tech as Battletech, but STILL a wonderful game. Weapons galore, unlimited single-player gameplay, AWESOME music, and SO many ways to make your own war machine. Don't like arc weapons on your otherwise favorite chassis? FINE! Just put a rocket or missile launcher on in it's place 8D Don't like the speed of your Gear? Just slap a bigger engine on, pump up the legs and give it better hydraulics! (YES, you CAN mess around with the internal components!
