Ongoing Stories (plus one I missed)

Sat Aug 22, 2009, 12:18 PM
Thus far, we have:

SoulSong
Star Fox

Stories in planning but not yet submitted/finished/written out

*Various pokemon stories. I have 4 sets or so, planning to have them all connected.
*A tale set after the events of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask detailing the initial rise of Majora and the Fierce Deity.
*EDIT: I also have under thought an odd cross, with something like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon taking place on Tallon IV from Metroid Prime.

Old Stuff
(1) Land's End: Premise is, a FAIRLY normal human kid loses all his memory and soon finds himself out floating with a dolphin pod on some far flung world. On top of it all, he begins to change into a semi-delphic human, not exactly an anthro dolphin, but somewhat similar idea. Just less dolphin. Also ties into MAJOR background info for some later happenings in SoulSong, but yeah, if you just roll with them, this story isn't a needtoread.

(2) Wavemasters: Premise is, a blue-haired surfer-boy discovers that he is the descendant of an ancient nation of humans that communed and could speak with dolphins (okay, you can think Atlantean if you want XP I know, I'm horrible) Plot eventually will center around a forbidden magical force (the GOOD kind, actually =/), and saving the world from some sort of evil, I really haven't gotten that far with it, only the first notepad =P Ideas welcome

(3) Riven: This one is kinda dark, actually O.o Premise is that a man who absolutely LOATHES dolphins finds himself changed into one and has to learn how to survive in his new home. Mondo depression for him, yeah, and other such madness. Again, not very far, less than Wavemasters even. Ideas welcome.

(4) Blood Moon Rising: Horror-ish story, bout a random individual of unspecified nature stumbling across an abandoned fiefdom and getting trapped in it as it turns from a mist shrouded daytime to a vicious monster-infested night. Yes, very Silent Hill, but it's somewhat different.

I'm curious as to what people think is interesting, what people want to see, and what people really DON'T want to see. Thus far, star fox has a few chapters drafted and awaiting transcription to digital records. Pokemon stories are finished for Ark, the first trainer (based on pokemon XD in an odd sort of way). Have started with the second trainer, Jedgar. With the Old Stuff, most of what I have is intros or bare beginnings. Or stuff in heavy need of edits. Of oldstuffs, probably Land's End is the most important as the ending stuff ties in heavily with SoulSong.

Character moveset

Sat Jan 17, 2009, 2:35 PM
A little thing for ~SuperSmashBros-OC
Moveset for a character I'm submitting: Slash Tyreus

neutral B: Boil-A charge attack with short to medium range. It's knockback power is fairly low, but fully charged, it's damage is on the same level as Samus's charge beam. It is a repeater move, so it hits several times, the number depending on the charge level. When the beam is launched, it is fairly thin, but when it strikes an opponent, it spikes out wider and can catch nearby opponents in the blast. Has about the same range as Fox's blaster.

Side B: Zero Rush-A moving attack with a slight freeze effect. Has about the same reach and speed as Raptor Boost, but does not stop at an opponent. Small windup beforehand. does about 5-10 damage.

Up B: Blazing Wings- Sprouts a pair of firey wings and shoots in the direction the control stick is tilted (yes very similar to Fire Fox). Afterwards, can spread the wings and glide by pressing Up again. Does 10-15 damage.

Down B: Mirror Glass- Reflector move with slight resistance to physical attacks. If more than 15 damage in physical attacks is taken, it shatters inward for 25 damage on Slash.
_______________________
Weak A ground attack us a simple two-hit combo. Attack reaches only slightly beyond the end of his hand. 2-4 damage

Side strong A has a minor windup, but moves swiftly after that in a narrow path in front of him, reaching about half of what Marth can. 5-8 damage.

Up strong A is a quick upward swing with same range as side strong. 5-8 damage.

Down Strong A is a quick slash, almost exactly like side strong A, but from a crouched position 5-8 damage.
_________________________
Side Smash is a broad swipe that covers his entire height in a parabolic arc, that at its tip, has the same reach as Marth. 13-18 damage

Up Smash is a jump strike with the same pattern as side smash, but a bit more reach since he is jumping 15-20 damage.

Down Smash is a spinning slash, extending two seperate blades and doing a quick spin as he crouches. Has half the reach as side smash, but hits both back and front. 14-19 damage.
____________________________________
Neutral A air is a single rotation spin slash out to the sides and tilted forward slightly with two blades extended. first hit is 5, second is 10 damage.

Down air is a dive move with a single blade extended. When he lands, regardless of whether he hit someone or not, he springs off the ground with his hands and lands on his feet. 8-12 damage.

Forward air is a double stomp-kick, first hit 6, second hit 9 damage.
Back air attack is a backwards slash in a downward arc. It has Meteor potential. 12 damage.

Up Air is a strong flip kick. Slight windup, but strong enough to easily star KO some one over 100 damage, and possibly much lower, depending on the height it is executed at. 15 Damage.

Dash Attack is a Sword thrust. He thrusts out his hand and the blade stabs out. 9 damage.
_________________
Grab: Normal lunging snatch motion

Forward throw: Hits with his elbow. 8 Damage, mild distance.

Back throw: Wheels around and kicks the opponent backwards. 10 damage, moderate distance.

Down throw: Flings opponent to the ground and stomps heavily on them. 15 damage, low distance

Up throw: tosses opponent up and releases a blast from his palm at them. 10 damage, high distance.
_____________________
He has fast movement characteristics and moderate fall control. Dodges are fairly swift, and jump is good. Is a somewhat heavy character, but nowhere near that of bowser and company.

Final Smash: Aurora Eclipsis-Draws his weapon completely then shatters it, sending the shard whirling outwards, catching nearby opponents in it. Then shards freeze and shoot towards him, knocking people caught in the previous attack towards the center. The shards cut through him, shattering his physical form and releasing a massive dragon that flies up to the top of the stage and breathes a massive column of blazing light down through the entire stage. Radius about the same as Ho-Oh's Sacred Fire in Melee. Afterwards, he reforms, and all his attacks are super-powered for about three seconds afterwards. (may cut back to two if that is too much.) Blade storm: 20 damage. Eclipsis blast 60 damage and massive striking power.

Tech Primer

Sun Nov 16, 2008, 7:16 PM
Yeah...I've been horribly behind on things XP
But I'm lazy, so give me a good strong push and chances are I'll get back to work :D
Meanwhile, I feel like introducing you all to the biggest shapers of my concept of the Technological Influence, so get ready for some DESTRUCTION >8D

(1) Battletech [link]
One of the most well known hi-tech universes, likely next to things that have movies of themselves, but yeah, Battletech, and PARTICULARLY the Mechwarrior series have shaped much of my thought on armored combat ^^ I mean, waliking around in an armed and armored fusion reactor is just CRAZY, right? Not when you can dish out THIS level of punishment! :mwahaha: Just steer clear of exploding mechs, they tend to do bad things to anyone nearby ;) Plus PPCs and Gauss Rifles ROCK >8D
Edit: and this too cause it's just so awesome and I love the music ( [link] )

(2) Total Annihilation [link]
The ULTIMATE RTS in my opinion, only a few small tweaks on gameplay would make it GOOD ENOUGH in my book. And few things are EVER GOOD ENOUGH in my book. I mean...even nowadays, how many games have aircraft that actually make STRAFING AND BOMBING RUNS? Not StarCraft, that's for sure =P And C&C has them head back after JUST ONE PASS DX. Plus TA has a STAGGERING amount of units. And weapons as well 8D. Nanolathes, EMGs, Lightning Guns, ENERGY SHELL CANNONS...And not to mention that RIDICULOUSLY Badd Azz D-Gun that the Core commander loves to splatter people with in cutscenes (so gruesome they never actually show it to you >8D) [link] See?

(3) Heavy Gear [link]
Not as HI-tech as Battletech, but STILL a wonderful game. Weapons galore, unlimited single-player gameplay, AWESOME music, and SO many ways to make your own war machine. Don't like arc weapons on your otherwise favorite chassis? FINE! Just put a rocket or missile launcher on in it's place 8D Don't like the speed of your Gear? Just slap a bigger engine on, pump up the legs and give it better hydraulics! (YES, you CAN mess around with the internal components!) Course then you get striders and you just slap a field gun and two anti-tank missile launchers on 'em and you can go to frickin TOWN! >8D

:happycry: So...I love these old games so much...but the only one I can still rampage in is TA, cause the others are too old to run (and need a joystick to play with any sort of true grace -.-), so I feel so nostalgic seeing all these old cutscenes and openings. Even looking up the cheatcodes brought on a wave of longing for the good ol' days ^^
